Hamlet: Existential Man

I lost my ‘Dashboard’ from my blog so am just posting a new blog to see if the thing is still working!

I am presently doing a free online course about Hamlet with ‘FutureLearn’. This is a charcoal drawing I did over ten years ago. You can click on the drawing and it will enlarge. Perhaps Hamlet, with his introspection and procrastination, can be thought of as one of the first existential heroes in fiction.

I am retired and live in the NE of England. I try and keep active and interested and involved in a variety of activities: yoga, walking, writing and, since Sept 2019, taking groups round art galleries. We discuss what we have seen and share thoughts about how the works of art have affected us personally. Hopefully I can set up another blog/website about this latter subject before the New Year. Hope all is well. I am currently having an intermittent issue with the dashboard turning all grey apart from the left hand column. WordPress say they never heard of it before.

Thanks. It seems back to normal after I changed my password and logged in with the new one! When in doubt change your password?

Did you get my comment? There’s a wonderful video on youtube from the 1960s of Peter O’toole and Orson Welles discussing Hamlet.
